Ninth Annual Missouri Economics Conference
March 27th through March 28th, 2009
Reynolds Alumni Center, University of Missouri-Columbia
The Missouri Economics Conference is held during the spring of each year at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The conference is jointly sponsored by the Department of Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia and the Research Divisions of the Federal Reserve Banks of St. Louis and Kansas City.
The purpose of the conference is to bring together leading research economists from the Federal Reserve, businesses, and academic institutions in the Eighth and Tenth Federal Reserve districts. Conference sessions consist of presentations of three or four academic-level research papers, with discussants. Participants and presenters come from all over the world. A screening committee chooses the papers that are presented from among those submitted. Some papers, including those of the keynote speakers, may be invited by the committee.
